The game does not start

Most likely the problem is a corrupted game file. In this case, it is recommended to reinstall the game, copying all the save files. If the game was downloaded from the official store, there is no need to worry about your game saves.
Diplomacy is not an Option does not work on the console
Update your software to the latest version, as well as check the stability of your Internet connection. If a full console firmware update and the game itself does not solve the problem, it is worth to reload the game, previously having it deleted from the disk.
Error 0xc000007b
There are two ways to solve this problem:
– The first is to completely reinstall the game. In some cases this eliminates the problem.
– The second consists of two steps:
- Complete reinstallation (if the installer will offer the option to delete files when you first run it – do that and then run it again for a clean installation) of DirectX, Microsoft Visual C++ and Microsoft .NET Framework components.

Error 0xc0000906
This error is due to one or more files being blocked by antivirus or the “Windows Defender”. To fix it, you need to add the entire game folder to the exclusion list. This procedure is different for each antivirus and you should refer to its help system.
Msvcp 140.dll/msvcp 120.dll/msvcp 110.dll/msvcp 100.dll is missing
The error occurs when you don’t have the correct version of the Microsoft Visual C++ package, which includes msvcp 140.dll (and similar files). The solution is to install the correct version of the package. They can be downloaded from the official Microsoft site (you can find the right section on the Microsoft site by googling these files).
After downloading and installing the new package the error should disappear. If the missing msvcp 140.dll (120, 110, 100) message persists, you need to do the following:
- Press Windows + R;
- Type the command “regsvrZ2 msvcp140.dll” (without the quotes);
- Press OK;
- Restart the computer.
Error 0xc0000009a/0xc0000009b/0xc0000009f and similar ones
All errors starting with index 0xc0000009 (for instance 0xc0000009a, where “a” can contain any letter or number) can be referred to one group. Such errors result from problems with RAM or the swap file.
We strongly recommend that you disable some background processes and third-party programs before starting the following steps, and then try to run it again.
Increase the swap file size:
- Right-click on your computer icon and then: “Advanced System Settings” – “Advanced” – “Speed” – Advanced – Virtual Memory – Change.
- Select one drive, set the fixed disk volume for the swap file.
- Reboot.
Swap file size should be a multiple of 1024. The volume depends on the free space on the selected local disk. It is recommended that it be set to the same size as your RAM.
If the 0xc0000009a error persists, you need to check your RAM. To do this, you need to use the functions of programs like MemTest86, Acronis, Everest.
The Game lags
Most likely it is a hardware problem. Check the system requirements of the game and set the correct graphics quality settings.
Check your computer for viruses, disable unnecessary background processes and unused programs in Task Manager. It is also worth checking the state of your hard drive with specialized programs like Hard Drive Inspector. Check the temperature of your processor and graphics card – it may be time to service your computer.
Long load times
Check the state of your hard drive. It is recommended to remove unnecessary mods – they can greatly affect the duration of load times. Check your antivirus settings and make sure to set it to “game mode” or its equivalent.

The periodic lags (or freezes) in Diplomacy is Not an Option can be caused by applications running in the background. Particular attention should be paid to programs like Discord and Skype. Problems with mods
